What does
AWANA stand for?
The word Awana stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed and comes
from 2 Timothy 2:15. "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman
that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
What happens during a typical Awana meeting?
Clubbers play games around the Awana circle, memorize Bible verses
from their handbooks, listen to biblical based teaching, and earn awards and
Awana shares during an Awards ceremony at the end of the night.
Can I bring my child to Awana if they have already missed the first few
weeks?
Your child is always welcome at Awana and can begin the program at
any time. They will be placed in the appropriate club and start working in
their respective handbook
Can parents stay and watch for the evening or do they have to leave?
We encourage parents to stay , but you are also free to leave and
come back at the end of club to pick up your children. We are always in need
of help, so if you stay and are willing to help out, please speak with an
Awana Leader.
What are Awana Shares?
Awana shares are play money, that can be used to purchase cool stuff
from the Awana store, which is open once a month.
