  The familiar story that Luke records of the prodigal son is an accurate picture of what is happening today with a lot of young men and women. Many were raised in Christian homes or at least exposed to the gospel when they were growing up; however, with the freedom of being on their own, they often leave behind those things to explore the world. Under the influence of the marketing gurus, they pursue a world of fancy cars & trucks, sexual promiscuity, stylish clothes, and the next party. Go to any church today and count the number of nineteen to twenty-nine year olds in attendance. They make up the smallest age group within the church!

  T2C stands for Time to Chose. That is exactly what this age group must do. They must chose between conforming to this world and its’ principles or transforming their lives to be a Follower of Jesus Christ. The time to chose is now. The choice is theirs to make and it’s our responsibility to present them with the truth of God’s Word and expose the lies of the world’s view.

The purpose of the T2C College and Career ministry at Cornerstone Baptist is to have friendly and enthusiastic Bible studies that lead young adults into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. It is designed to challenge these young people to examine their faith, catch a vision of what their life in Christ could be and give them the directions to pursue a real relationship with Him.

Breaking down Scripture to discover the true meaning is an intricate part of this process. Once we understand the meaning and principle of the passage, we then seek the relevance in today’s world. Next we examine the relevance to find the application to our lives. Finally, we ask the question, how does this apply to my life? Unless we feel like it applies to us, then we won’t use these principles in our everyday lives.

We use the acronym: PRAY

A = the application of the passage
